Performing Arts
Primary School Music
Prep – Year 2 take part in a classroom music program with an emphasis on music appreciation and music theory.
Year 3 – 6 participate in a classroom music program. All students in Junior School learn music theory and appreciation and are assessed each semester as part of the reporting system.
Secondary School Music
Years 7 - 8 students participate in a music program rotation as one of their specialist subjects. Year 9 - 10 students can choose to continue with music as an elective.
For the Secondary School Choir, students must audition for entry in this choir and be able to sing on pitch. This is a group best suited to students who have experience with singing and/or choir. The students sing more modern repertoire.
The band performs at a variety of school events including Awards Night.
Musical
The College puts on a Musical every two years. Students audition for roles in these. Participation in school musical often means rehearsals outside of school times, sometimes in holiday times and weekends/school times for final rehearsals.
Private Music Program
Parents of students in all year levels are able to register interest in the private music program with the College Arts Coordinator. Tuition fees will be administered by the individual teachers. Places are limited and students will be allocated lessons when they become available.
